as a writer, my honest guess is that the wwdits showrunners were like “we wanna slowburn nandermo to draw out the tension, but a gay slowburn from one side looks like queerbaiting to an audience that has been relentlessly gaslit for decades, so we’re gonna compensate by making every other aspect of the show as gay as possible” and now laszlo gets to have gay sex once per episode. good for him
